Not your usual 3 month old - I mean, we can walk and talk...and bake!
What a phenomenal 3 months it has been at The Den. We are continually gaining followers for our wheat-free bakes and learning a whole lot along the way. There has been countless hours perfecting the cakepop-dip-method, although we like to call this the CPD....only, a more fun type of continued professional development *insert smirking emoji here*.
There has been numerous cups of tea consumed whilst mastering the art of sugarcraft roses - the ones that don't succumb to someone's inquisitive nature; "I just wanted to see if it was dry"...Going to be honest, I have become an avid YouTuber recently, especially Wilton's channel - they have so many helpful videos,
without the unnecessarily dramatic music that some have.
Baking has always been more than just a passion or a hobby. It's not something which would never get boring or mundane. Going wheat-free didn't even put a dampner on my love of baking. It just made me more determined to devise recipes which have a great taste and texture, and that look amazing, and this is something which The Den is very proud to have achieved. Dove's Farm is a firm favourite flour blend, but M&S and Asda have great FreeFrom flours too. It's what you do with it that counts.
So what have we done? We've had so many exciting projects for birthdays, baby showers (baby shower cake pops are so cute!...just look at the photo - i'm not lying!), and wedding cake plans already made, all thanks to our lovely followers and all of your support.
Since The Bakery Den started back in April, I can wholeheartedly say, the only regret floating around is that this didn't start years ago. But lets not dwell on what might have been, it's onward to the next chapter!
We have some super exciting projects lined up in the weeks to come, so keep a beady eye out. We think you're going to love them.
